You have to complete Priority: The Citadel I first. You are given this Mission by Samantha Traynor. Go left up the stairs and through the doors, you will find Enemy opposition there. In order to get each of the three artifacts, you will need to deactivate the containment.
Once you locate the artifact, eliminate the Cerberus troops and collect the artifact. Return to the landing pad and place the artifact onto the shuttle for extraction. Before doing so, there are a few things you can loot from here. You will find a Sniper Rifle Enhanced Scope up the ramps from the initial landing pad. Directly to the right on the console, you can find Credits on a console. In the hall ahead there is a medical station that nets you experience points. You can find more credits in the hallway, on the right.

Your mission objective is to retrieve some Reaper Artifacts and drop them off at the shuttle; you can only transport one at a time to the shuttle, so each time you go recover another artifact you can count on meeting heavy resistance.
Thoroughly explore the small lab, as doing so will earn you easy credits and enlightening journal entries from the various computer terminals. Up the left set of stairs and through the doorway immediately on the left is a Sniper Rifle Upgrade.
Soon enough enemies begin to close in on you. The planet has yet to develop land-based animals, though invertebrates grow quite large in its pelagic seas. Mining, referred to as "ice cracking" at anywhere but the equator, is a common employment on Sanctum.
The planet is rich in platinum and palladium deposits, as well as boron, which is locally used in semiconductor doping. Travelers should carry a breath mask at all times and consult the Sanctum World Weather Service for warnings. Visitors should take appropriate security precautions. Sanctum is known for the freezing ice storms which sweep across its poles and temperate zones, with only a thin strip of habitable land along the equator.
Because of those harsh living conditions, Sanctum attracts only the most gruff and hardy, from miners to mercenaries to company men.
